Plain chipboard, also known as particle board (PB), is an engineered wood product made from compressed wood particles, sawdust, and resin. It is commonly used in furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, and flooring underlayment due to its affordability and lightweight nature. While it offers a cost-effective alternative to solid wood, it is less durable and can be more susceptible to moisture damage compared to other wood products. Plain chipboard is often further treated or laminated to improve its appearance and performance.
